Oh God, help! That is the cry of many people today. Drugs, alcohol, abuse, financial problems, fear, they are all taking a toll on life. But, there is way that you can overcome all of these, through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!
We have all faced struggles in life, and even when we become a Christian, we may still have struggles, but we can overcome them through Jesus Christ.
In John 10:10, Jesus said, "The thief cometh not but for to steal, kill and destroy; I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly."
Jesus lived on the earth over 2000 years ago and lived a life that was without sin. Sin is when you do things that you know are wrong. In Romans 3:23, the Bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. In a nutshell, Jesus was the only who did not sin, but mankind does sin.
Romans 6:23 says, " The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." The death referred to here is not physical death only, but spiritual death. Simply put, spiritual death is eternal separation from God.
There is good news however. In Romans 5:8, the Bible says, "But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus paid the price for us and now God offers us the free gift of eternal life in Heaven with God.
I am not talking about joining a church. Joining a church makes you no more a Christian than being in a garage makes you an automobile. I am talking about a new start, a second chance at life. It is so simple to do, yet most stumble at the simplicity. God wants a personal relationship with you. He wants to be involved in your life and He is simply a prayer a way.
In order to enter into a new life, and to start a relationship with the God who created you, simply pray this prayer. " Dear Father, I have seen that I am a sinner and I can not go to heaven on my own. I see that Jesus paid the price for my sin, and so now I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord, My Savior, make me into the person you want be to be."
Romans 10:9,10 said that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have done that, then on the authority of Gods Word, I can assure you that you are saved.
